After a rather disappointing season despite the initial momentum, winning 3 races in the first half of the season, Kyle Busch has his eyes set on 2024 as he is set to welcome Richard Childress Racing‘s long-time partner by his side. NASCAR’s “Rowdy” Busch drowned the KB fan army in tears this year after he met his match in the playoff rounds, getting ousted in the round of 12 despite the promising start.

However, by the way that things are falling into place, we can certainly expect a stronger performance from him in the next season. The 2-time Cup Series champion took his delight to his social media, sharing a glimpse of his new look ahead to the 2024 season and paying homage to his sponsor and RCR’s ally.

Kyle Larson & HMS Are Planning to Return to Indy 500 Next Year. But Should They?

Yes! It Is Great for NASCAR

No, It Was a Disaster This Time

Unlike his previous season with his longtime team, Joe Gibbs Racing, Busch started things off in 2023 on a high note. Winning at Auto Club Speedway, Talladega and Gateway, the fandom was stoked to see the 2-time champion find his rhythm and hoped that this would be the season where he’ll reclaim the throne. But once the tournament crossed the halfway mark, inconsistency plagued the driver and brought an end to his Cup title aspirations.

However, Busch being Busch isn’t letting any of it go to his head. Instead, the driver is all poised to take on the challenges of the upcoming season with solid backing from Lucas Oil who has been RCR & ECR Engine’s partner since 2014. While the engine oil brand is stated to be the #8’s primary sponsor in several races, it will also be the primary sponsor for Busch when he competes in the Micro Sprint car series at Tulsa Shootout, starting December 26th.

Taking to Instagram to share his excitement, Busch shared a well-edited video of himself walking down in a new fire suit, paying homage to his sponsor.

The 38-year-old wrote, “Pumped to have @lucasoilproducts on board for my grassroots dirt program this year, Running 3 classes here @tulsashootout, let’s GO!” Officials at Lucas Oil also seemed pretty stoked at the partnership.

“RCR and ECR share our passion for motorsports, from the grassroots to the highest levels of the sport,” said Brandon Bernstein, director of partnership marketing for Lucas Oil Products. He further added, saying, “We’ve seen first-hand the benefits of our partnership, especially as it relates to technology transfer over to short track racers and everyday consumers. We’re proud to continue to commit our resources in R&D and production, and to highlight our premier oil performance with sponsorship of the No. 8 Chevrolet.

But wait, that’s not the only good thing happening in the Busch family’s racing careers. What’s even better? Lucas Oil isn’t just looking at Kyle Busch in 2024. His 8-year-old son Brexton has also been roped in for an exciting opportunity.

It was at the currently de-funct Auto Club Speedway where Busch won his first race for Lucas Oil, coming across the finish line as the fastest in 2023. With the driver repeating the feat again, the sponsor is now proud and looks forward for 2024, extending their contract. However, Kyle’s Busch success is also rubbing off on his son, who will be getting a solid backing from the automobile oil manufacturer.

Besides taking on the responsibility for Busch in the #8 Lucas Oil Products will also also sponsor the 2024 program of Brexton. Talking about sponsoring the father-son duo, Bernstein shared his excitement, saying, “We share Kyle’s passion for short track racing and are excited to help Brexton take the next step in his career.

A prodigy in the making, a solid sponsorship from the brand will definitely prove to be instrumental for Brexton’s budding racing career. In fact, with such good news under his belt and an upcoming Tulsa outing, the 8-year-old couldn’t be more excited. “Best weekend ever. The Tulsa shootout is the best weekend ever, it’s always going to be the best weekend because it’s a golden driller,” said little Brexton when asked about his upcoming race.
