According to NASCAR stats, the Bristol Motor Speedway has rewarded the triumph to 5 different racers from 5 different teams in the last five Cup Series Races. Denny Hamlin with his recent victory has now broken that streak continuing with his own.

Kyle Busch, the 8-time cup race winner at the Thunder Valley came in 25th in the Food City 500 race. Thus plummetting his Cup Series Ranking to 16th. However, if we speak about, Denny Hamlin he just got his 1st Regular race win and so far leading the highest 272 laps is presently ranked 5th.

In his recent podcast discussions, he talked about the Weather Guard Truck Race. To begin with, the No. 11 Joe Gibbs racer lauded the efforts made by the No. 19 Truck Series Driver, he said, “Considering the speed, that he had last year in that race, he didn’t win for different reasons. But he held off one of the best, Kyle Busch. Um, you know there at the end. Kyle was making a hell of a charge on them for sure, but you know between Christian and that truck they just looked phenomenal all weekend and they just dominated,” said Hamlin.

Reflecting on Busch’s rough patch he further continued, “Yeah, Kyle’s on a bit of a cold streak, in the, he’s letting those young fellers um whip up on him. Yeah, he even said, ‘This is just not getting the results, I used to get. I gotta figure this thing out.’”

Denny Hamlin painted a vivid picture of Rowdy’s shortfall, introspecting his understanding and observations. He went on, “You know, so it can go two ways. you know way always back in the day when Kyle would run all these Xfinity races. You know this is when Gibbs cars in Xfinity it’s still really good, right?”

He recalled, “They were just really and shoulders above the competition. He would always run all those Xfinity races and you know what it is that for. He’s just like ah just big you know big confidence boost, right he just keeps that, keeps that confidence up that he’s a winner. And um so it can go two ways when you go down to the lower series. You don’t win then it’s like, yeah, yeah maybe, I need to work on some things to get a little better here and there, stated Denny.

The Bristol winner also mentioned his last interaction with Rowdy, he exclaimed, “I think he’s had some truck troubles at, I talked to him during driver intros and he said, uh he’s just had some bad handling trucks over the last few weeks. But still good enough to compete for wins, just not actually get them.

Kyle Busch opened up about his lagging racecraft post-race, to a NASCAR Reporter. The reporter prompted, “You did everything you could at the end all over the racetrack trying to find a lane to get there may be one more lap, what do you think would have happened?”

To which Rowdy hastily countered with a mischievous grin, stating “We would have wrecked.” He went on further, illustrating his stand for failure, “I mean the crazy part about it is, we fought loose all through practice all through qualifying all through the beginning part of the race on older date codes of tires. And then we put on the newer date codes of tires, and instantly tight. So just not being able to prepare and practice on what you expect to race on. Hurt us.”

Busch further highlighted his mistakes, in maintaining his track position: “You know just track position. I let him go early in that run to just go burn his stuff off and um track position at the end.” Stating reasons for aerodynamics, he quipped, “Just the arrow effects, let him be in front of us and got him a win.”

“So uh didn’t have enough rubber on the road to, uh outdo them. But thanks to Spire and Brian and everybody on this team for giving me a chance to come out here. Definitely learning a lot. It’s frustrating uh, to not run as good as I’m accustomed to. So we got some work to do,concluded Busch.
