Earlier, the NASCAR Cup race at the Los Angeles Coliseum wrapped up. Martin Truex Jr emerged victorious, ahead of Richard Childress Racing teammates, Austin Dillon, and Kyle Busch. However, it seems that Busch was not particularly happy with how his race played out. Additionally, he foisted most of the blame on defending Cup Series champion, Joey Logano. According to him, the Team Penske driver made himself a nuisance on the racetrack.
He mentioned in the press conference, “Yeah, I mean, Logano didn’t get hit by nobody. He just flat out drove through me, so he’s got another one coming–I owe him a few.”

Busch continued, “Last year’s show, I felt like, was relatively clean and good racing. Some bumping, some banging, but we could run long stretches of green flag action. Whereas today, I would call it a disaster, with just the disrespect from everybody just driving through each other. Not letting everything kind of work its way out, but it’s a quarter-mile, it’s tight quarters racing. This is probably how it should have gone last year, so we got spoiled with a good show the first year. So maybe this one’s just normal.”

What else did Kyle Busch say about how his race panned out?
Of course, the incident with Logano was a massive setback that dumped Busch well down the order. However, the #8 driver managed to claw his way back into the order. In light of this, journalist Jeff Gluck asked Busch how he managed it, and the RCR driver gave a matter-of-fact answer. He simply said, “I passed them, Jeff.”

Regardless of the disappointing result, it did prove that Kyle Busch is a massive threat. The 2-time NASCAR Cup Series champion is highly motivated, and his move to a brand new environment is just what he needed. As a result, he will most likely be the one leading the charge in the championship fight, so Logano better watch his back.
