While NASCAR superstar Kyle Busch may be a household name in motor racing, the Busch family has another rising star on their hands. Seven-year-old Brexton Busch stunned audiences by eclipsing his famous father at the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Missouri. And get this—the young phenom is racking up victories like toy cars in a sandbox.

During the event stretching from Sept. 7–9, Brexton dominated the junior class with multiple wins, leaving spectators and his own parents “simply in awe. Kyle Busch, a Cup Series regular, was admittedly outshone by his prodigious son, who seems to channel his father’s daring driving style into his own brand of controlled aggression. One question remains: Will the student eventually surpass the teacher?

In a story that seems ripped from the pages of a comic book, Brexton Busch began his racing career just three years ago, in 2020. Fast-forward to 2021, and he clinched nine wins across six dirt tracks, even nabbing a track championship at Millbridge Speedway. Zooming into 2022, B-Rex—his affectionate nickname—has notched an astonishing 32 race wins. Can anything slow down this pint-sized speedster? Don’t bet on it.
