Kyle Busch wore a frustrated look despite a second-place finish in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race at the Bristol Motor Speedway. That strongly reflected in his words post-race as well. Busch matched race winner Kevin Harvick throughout the race as the two fought for the lead for most of the final phase of the race.
However, he still believes that he is far away from challenging the likes of Harvick and Denny Hamlin, as far as the bigger picture is concerned.
After Saturday’s race at Bristol, Busch was asked where he sees his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing team in comparison with the top guys like Hamlin and Harvick as the next Playoffs round beckons. Busch simply referred to the championship standings to make his point.

Kyle Busch admits to superiority of Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin
“Where are we at on the playoff ranking? 10th? We’re 10th, compared to them being first and second,” Busch said.
The interviewer then asked him if he felt he was close to them in terms of speed and performance. To this, Busch’s reply was a simple, “No“.
Busch also said he was very happy with his car’s performance during Saturday’s race. Just when he felt he had the car to win, he was outclassed by Harvick’s pace.
“You know, Skittles Camry was fast and we had a good car, one that was in contention all night long. Fired off the start of the race, I was like, oh, wow, this is a pretty good car and then got beat by another really good car, I guess. Yeah, that’s all there is to it,” he summed up his race.
