The Busch family has more than one motorsports superstar in the household. Everyone knows about Kyle Busch’s achievements in NASCAR. The two-time world champion is one of the most skilled and experienced racers on the grid today and he is only getting better. But his achievements are being overshadowed by those of his son Brexton, at least in the eyes of Samantha Busch.

Like his father, Brexton too takes part in a number of competitive races all year round and has his schedule quite packed as well. The family travels to all of his races to support the budding superstar. In a recent interview ahead of the first playoff race of the 2023 Cup Series season, Busch revealed his son’s packed schedule for the upcoming few weeks and how his wife values Brexton’s achievements over his.

As per Kyle Busch, Brexton was actually supposed to race at Florence, but poor weather conditions saw the race being suspended, soon to be re-scheduled. The Busch family will then travel to Kansas on Wednesday where both father and son will participate in their respective races. This will be followed by two events in Texas.

So, it’s safe to say that eight-year-old Brexton is already getting trained in the life of a motorsport athlete which involves a ton of traveling. Safe to say, when he comes of age and makes his debut in one of the NASCAR divisions, he will be very well prepared. Not to mention his superstar father will give him all the help he wants.

Busch himself is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and has won over 60 races in his illustrious career. Over the years, he has earned the love and respect of fans across the country, but his son’s fledgling career has already beaten in the eyes of Samantha Busch.

In an interview with NASCAR HUB, Busch revealed that only Brexton’s trophies are put on display in their house while his ones are not allowed at the house.

“Only his trophies are at the house, mine aren’t allowed at the house,” Busch said in a light-hearted moment ahead of a high-pressure race at Darlington.

The 2023 Cup Series season will be the 16th season that Kyle Busch will appear in the playoffs. He truly has earned the right to be called one of the most consistent drivers on the grid. But things are only going to get tougher from here on out.

After switching from Joe Gibbs Racing to Richard Childress Racing, Busch hit the ground running in the first half of the 2023 Cup Series season, winning three races in quick succession. However, the second half of the campaign has been one riddled with problems, both on the driver’s and the team’s side.

If Rowdy wants to be a three-time Cup Series champion, these issues need to be cut down and he will have to score a good amount of points in every single race. That is the plan for the 38-year-old, whose plan is to fight his way to Phoenix for the final race of the season, where he believes it can be anyone’s game.

“I would say that we are going to give it a fair shot to get to Phoenix. I think if you get to Phoenix, I think anybody has a shot to win the championship,” the RCR man stated.
