This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series drivers head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Ahead of the next Playoff race, Kyle Busch spoke about how important this race is. Admittedly, one could suggest that he is a little biased because he is a Las Vegas native. However, he did raise some valuable points to defend the race track on his home turf.

He said, “I think everybody goes into Vegas putting the amount of pressure on themselves to make sure they do run good in that event because they know what the next two race have in store for them. So, if you asked any crew chief what race are you most focused on in that round. They would tell you Vegas, to try and run good there and have a good race.”

Kyle Busch acknowledged that the Vegas race will be tough because everyone will be equally focused on it. For his part, all that he and his contemporaries can do is try the best that they can. Last year, he was eliminated early from the competition due to some bad strategy calls.

What next for Kyle Busch in the Playoff battle?

At the moment, the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing driver is training his focus on his home race. He already has a win this season, but any driver would do anything to win their home race. Kyle Busch is no different, and he is in a stronger position to challenge this time around.

Last year, he struggled a lot and failed to defend his title. This year though, he and his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates are becoming real threats for the title. Although the Hendrick Motorsports team is one of the strongest on the grid, JGR is not too far behind them. So, Kyle Busch and his teammates will definitely try and take the fight to their rivals.
