Most drivers remember every moment from when they became Cup Series champions. From the celebration to how it feels to be acknowledged as one of the best drivers on the grid, it’s a moment that all drivers live for. So when Kyle Busch won his championships back in 2015 and 2019, it’s only fair that he remembers how it felt to receive the honor.
What makes his victories more memorable is the fact that during his celebrations, his 9-year-old son, Brexton, was there for the second win. Sure, Brexton was younger when Busch won in 2019, but that does not stop him from remembering how he celebrated the win with his dad.

Unfortunately, Kyle Busch missed the playoffs this year and the last two races of the season were crucial for him. The man who came second at both Daytona and Darlington was beaten at those tracks by splits of a second by Harrison Burton and Chase Briscoe, respectively. This broke Busch’s ongoing record of being in the playoffs for 11 consecutive years, but Busch does not seem to be too disturbed by it.
At the Bristol Motor Speedway, when Kyle Busch was having a talk with his fans, one of them had a question for the 2x Cup Series Champion’s son. The fan asked, “Brexton, what’s your favorite memory with your dad and your favorite memory with Brexton?” Papa Busch let his son answer the question as Brexton took the mic on the stage. “It’s probably where I used to get growing up; in the air, I like getting thrown up in the air,” said the young man, who won’t forget the happy moment in his life any time soon.
Kyle Busch then chimed in to ask Brexton, “What was the other one that you told me about the other week?” After taking a moment to think about it, Brexton replied, saying, “Oh yeah, the silly string we have. My dad won the second championship. Me and my mom sprayed silly string all over.” Of course, that was fun to Kyle Busch too, as he added, “That was a really cool one. That was fun. I would say that one’s very high on my list.”

However, the celebration story did not end there, as Busch had more to add. He said, “I would say the other one that’s really, really cool too. Just before that, earlier in the championship celebration was him coming to the racetrack, being on the racetrack, being able to take the window out and go around and kind of do a victory lap with Brexton for the championship there, and bringing that home; that was cool, too.”
So far Kyle Busch has had a great career in NASCAR and his two championships can be considered a highlight, but that is far from the whole story. So let’s take a look at everything that Kyle Busch has achieved in his 2 decades of racing in NASCAR.

Let’s look at Kyle Busch’s performance in NASCAR, and the best place to start would be from Xfinity Series days. One of the best years in NASCAR for Kyle Busch was when he was racing with Joe Gibbs Racing in the Xfinity Series back in 2009. He won the championship that year, and though next year he did not score a title, he managed to pull off a record by winning 13 races in one season.
Adding on to that, he also happens to be the winningest driver in the Xfinity Series with a record of holding 102 race wins in his career. Joining a series and dominating it might just be Busch’s second nature, as he did something similar in the Truck Series by holding the unbeaten record of 66 wins throughout his career. Adding these numbers to his Cup Series wins makes him the driver with the most wins across all three national NASCAR series- a staggering 231 wins in his career.
With his win at Auto Club Speedway in February 2023, Busch set the record for the most consecutive seasons with at least one win, standing at 19 seasons. He has also made a name for himself by winning at some of the most prestigious races, including the Southern 500, Brickyard 400 (twice), and the Coca-Cola 600. All of his achievements started when he was quite young too. When Busch first emerged into the NASCAR scene, he became the youngest driver to ever win pole position in the Cup Series at the California Speedway back in 2005.

While this might be a lot, there is one more thing that Busch is known for, and that is for being the first driver to win in all three of NASCAR’s elite divisions (Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series) in the same weekend. With such a track record, it’s hard to believe that Busch missed out on the playoffs this year. However, that only makes fans more excited to see if he redeems himself next season.
