The NASCAR All-Star Race concluded with Kyle Larson winning at the North Wilkesboro Speedway. However, another Kyle grabbed a fair bit of attention during the race. Admittedly, it was for the wrong reason, because there was a seemingly innocent tweet from Kyle Busch. Normally, this would have been inconsequential, as NASCAR drivers are fairly active on social media, as are a lot of celebrities.
The tweet was a reply to a GIF of Busch at the North Wilkesboro Speedway, and the caption read, “Kyle Busch is that guy.” The Richard Childress Racing driver could not resist jumping in and tweeting a reply, “Darn right, I am.” As mentioned before, the problem was not the tweet itself, and it was nothing offensive. The main issue stemmed from the timing of the tweet, and a lot of people were fairly puzzled.

What was wrong with Kyle Busch tweeting?
Apparently, at the time when the reply was posted, Busch would have been in the middle of the race. Obviously, NASCAR drivers are not allowed to have mobile phones in their cars.

Brad Keselowski found that out the hard way, a few years ago. That was when the then Team Penske driver tweeted an image of his view of the track from the cockpit. Granted, the race had been red-flagged at the time, but it was the principle that mattered.
Naturally, following Busch’s tweet, there were a lot of jokes from the fans about driving and texting.
A number of fans responded to Busch’s tweet with humorous statements like, “bros texting and racing,” “Kyle it’s dangerous to text and drive,” “bro focus on turn 1,” and “Drivin an Tweetin. I like his style. One with tha fans.”
Some people blamed Richard Childress Racing for his poor race pace

Unfortunately for Kyle Busch, he was having a miserable race. So being called out for allegedly tweeting while racing, was the least of his worries. This was because he was running near the back of the pack for most of the race. In fact, at the time that the tweet went out, he was already a couple of laps down.
Already multiple laps down lol

A fair number of fans took potshots at the Richard Childress Racing #8 driver. They jeered at the fact that the car was not as fast as its rivals. One person even went as far as to say that his car was so slow that Busch had time to tweet without missing much. To cap off his misery, the 2-time Cup Series champion could only muster a measly 22nd place.
