What’s a NASCAR driver without their iconic one-liners? While races are the heart of the sport, it’s these one-liners, often said in the heat of the moment, that stick with the community forever. Whether it’s “If you ain’t first you’re last” or “I’ll wreck your mom to win a championship”, there are some gems that truly stand out of the bunch!

When NASCAR on NBC asked some of the drivers and crew members what their favorite racing quotes were, Kyle Petty reminisced Brad Keselowski’s savage response to his run-in with Kyle Busch at the Nationwide Race, back in 2010.

Taking a trip down memory lane, over a decade ago, Keselowski was fuming after the Nationwide Race that year. Keselowski was speaking to Juan Pablo Montoya about how he wanted to diss Kyle Busch during the driver’s introductions in Bristol. He shared: “Juan Montoya and I were talking about it (before driver introductions), and he said I wouldn’t do it. I said, ‘Hell yeah I’ll do it!’

But before carrying on to call Kyle Busch an ass, Keselowski sought the track preacher’s advice, asking him if he would be offended by the word. To which the preacher replied, as quoted by Keselowski himself, “’No, man! ‘Ass’ is in the Bible.’

Reminiscing the 2010 moment, Kyle Petty shared his favorite driver quote on NASCARonNBC’s video, “I think Brad K during his introduction. I love it because he delivered it so well.” Echoing the thoughts of those 155,000 fans in the audience that roared as Keselowski delivered the Busch call out, Petty had made up his mind. After all, Brad Keslowski’s revelation to the crowd recorded a record-breaking 104.2 decibels on SB Nation’s noise meter!

During the race at Martinsville in 2021, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski were running in second and third respectively when Keselowski bumped Busch aggressively just before the finish line. While it didn’t result in a wreck, Busch was fuming because neither driver had anything to gain from finishing second. If race leader Alex Bowman had been penalized post-race, Busch would’ve stood a chance to make it to the final in Phoenix. But as it stood, the incident seemed meaningless.

Busch was quoted by NYPost, as saying, “I mean, where was he going? What was he going to do? Spin me out? He was trying to do a (Kevin) Harvick is what he was trying to do. For what? For second place? For what? He wasn’t going to transfer through with that. Freaking ret**ded, man.”

Unfortunately for Busch, Keselowski would once again have the last laugh. The rant backfired and resulted in NASCAR ordering Busch to undergo sensitivity training for violating the code of conduct. Kyle Busch just can’t catch a break it seems, even decades apart!
