Who can forget an angry Denny Hamlin interrupting Alex Bowman’s celebration at Martinsville? But would Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, or Bubba Wallace have done the same thing if they were in his place?

Since Hamlin’s interruption, many other drivers have been asked about their opinion on doing something like this. And in an interview with Jeff Gluck at the Athletic, when Bubba Wallace was asked if he would have done the same, Wallace came up with a straightforward reply.

Gluck asked if he would interrupt a driver’s celebration to get back at him, to which Wallace immediately responded “No doubt, no doubt.” Furthermore, the 23XI Racing driver added that maybe he would go beyond just a nudge unlike Hamlin depending on how bad the wreck was.

However, when the same question was posed to Kyle Larson, the Hendrick Motorsports driver made it clear that he would rather avoid all the drama. He said that doing something like that might make one look stupid. But he would definitely get that person back in a racing situation.

Furthermore, Larson added; “If you do something like Denny, then you kind of lose a little bit of an edge on your payback down the road.” And surprisingly just like Larson, Rowdy Busch too denied doing what Hamlin did.

During his conversation with The Athletic, Kyle Busch was asked if someone blatantly wrecked him to win a race, will he interrupt their celebration. To which he replied; “I would say in my earlier years, yes. As of late, probably not. Just save it for another day.”

Furthermore, he admitted that there is too much risk in doing what Denny Hamlin did to Bowman. Especially the risk of making yourself look bad.

Why Kyle Buch apologized after the Martinsville race?

No, he did not apologize on behalf of Denny Hamlin. In fact, Kyle Busch had to apologize for dropping in a cuss word in an interview after the race. During the final laps of the race, Brad Keselowski shoved Busch into the wall. Although Busch did make it to the second position, he was clearly mad at Keselowski.

In a post-race interview, Busch said; “I mean, where was he going? What was he going to do? Spin me out? He was trying to do a Harvick is what he was trying to do. For what? For second place or what? He wasn’t going to transfer through with that. Freaking (R-word), man.”

Furthermore, he said that he wanted to ‘beat the sh*t out’ of Keselowski. And soon, he realized that he had made a mistake by using a word he shouldn’t have. Apologizing for his mistake, Busch posted on Twitter; “In one of my post-race interviews I used a word I should never use and I want to apologize for it.”
