In the windy city of Chicago, on December 31, 2010, Kyle Busch and Samantha Sarcinella tied the knot. Their romantic union was showcased in a glamorous hour-long special on the Style Network. Hailing from St. John, Indiana, Samantha is not just a native beauty but also an intellect with a psychology degree from Purdue University. The pair welcomed their first child, Brexton Locke Busch, on May 18, 2015, and later celebrated the arrival of Lennix Key Busch on May 10, 2022.
Being the younger sibling of Kurt Busch, Kyle has cheekily earned the nickname “Shrub,” a playful nod to the younger, smaller version of a bush. Yet, on the racetrack, his fiery spirit has him better known as “Rowdy,” a tribute to the iconic Days of Thunder character, Rowdy Burns.

The couple’s journey to parenthood has been both rewarding and challenging, blessing them with two delightful children. In 2015, they welcomed a son, Brexton Locke Busch, into their lives. Fast forward to May of the previous year, and they celebrated the arrival of a daughter, Lennix Key Busch.
However, the path to completing their family was not without its hurdles. After successful IVF treatments led to Brexton’s birth, further attempts to expand their family using the same method met with setbacks. Finally, in November 2021, they made the heartfelt decision to use a surrogate, leading to Lennix’s birth in May 2022.
Speaking candidly at the “Race For The Championship” premiere, the couple opened up about their decision to share this personal journey with the world. Samantha confided to USA Insider’s Stephanie Gomulka, “It’s been a long time coming. It’s been about 10 years to complete our family. We’re excited that it’s complete, but we’re not going to stop our work. So we have the Bundle of Joy fund, where we’ve helped almost 100 couples go through IVF to try to have their miracle babies like we’ve been able to.”
She expressed gratitude for the platforms that have amplified the conversation about infertility, emphasizing the couple’s commitment to raising awareness about the challenges many face. “It’s nice to use these bigger platforms to show people that one in eight couples will go through infertility, and kind of just how we’ve navigated the journey. It’s really exciting to see over the years just how the conversation around infertility has changed, and we’re happy to be a big part of that.”
As for life with their newest addition? Seemingly, it’s been pure joy for the couple. Kyle, with son Brexton by his side, gleefully remarked, “It’s been good, really good. Lennix has been awesome. Brex, is she really good? She’s super good, right?” To which Brexton playfully added, “Unless she cries,” causing a ripple of laughter among those present.

Brexton Busch was barely past his baby steps when his father, Kyle, lifted him in a victorious embrace at Pocono’s iconic lane. As Brexton is now eighth, his dad, the eminent two-time Cup champion Kyle Busch, has etched an illustrious path for the young prodigy in the world of NASCAR.
Sporting a flair that mirrors his familial racing pedigree, Brexton is already making waves, echoing the achievements of his uncle, Kurt, the 2004 champion. If Kyle’s grand vision holds true, NASCAR fans could see the future 15-year-old Brexton navigating tight bends in truck races on tracks spanning 1 1/2 miles and showcasing finesse on road courses, all within NASCAR’s ambit. Until he’s ripe for the full racing roster at 18, the father-son spectacle promises thrilling moments on the asphalt.
Adding a twist to the tale, Kyle, upon Brexton’s 15th year, might trade his Cup racing accolades to hunt the coveted truck title, aligning forces with Richard Childress Motorsports. Though he’s tasted glory with the 2009 Xfinity Series win, the siren call of a new pursuit is irresistible. When Kyle approaches the grand age of 50 and Brexton steps into his 16th year, the two will co-pilot the famed truck at KBM in a relay of racing prowess.
Rewinding to 2020, a young 5-year-old Brexton felt the racing pulse, navigating the 1/6-mile terrains of Millbridge Speedway and Mountain Creek Speedway in North Carolina. In an astonishing feat, barely a month in, Brexton claimed victory at Mountain Creek, signaling the onset of a riveting motorsport saga.

Amidst the anticipation of Lennix’s arrival, Joe Gibbs Racing had prudently arranged for Trevor Bayne to potentially step in at Darlington Raceway’s recent NASCAR Cup Series race. Busch prepared Bayne during practice and qualifying sessions, and he also had a backup plan for the Kansas Speedway race for the No. 18 Toyota team as Lennix’s surrogate neared her due date.
Pondering over his dual responsibilities, Busch candidly shared the weight of choosing between the race and witnessing his daughter’s birth. He conceded that while one could make amends for a missed race, the irreplaceable moment of a child’s birth is an event forever missed.

The journey to this joyous moment was paved with challenges for the Busch couple. Enduring over eight heart-wrenching years of infertility, the pair faced the pain of miscarriages and the despair of multiple failed IVF attempts, including an unsuccessful round in November 2020 with a hitherto healthy surrogate.
Samantha’s candid video from May 2021 encapsulated their emotional rollercoaster, highlighting a momentary glimmer of hope from an embryo transfer that unfortunately did not culminate in success. Yet today, with both a son and daughter enriching their lives, it’s evident that Kyle Busch cherishes every moment with his blossoming family.
