It seems the old love for Joe Gibbs Racing still remains unaltered in the heart of Kyle Busch. And why not? It is through this team that the driver rose to prominence and earned two Cup Series titles. However, circumstances within the team in the recent past had evidently taken a sour side due to the failed sponsorship deals and the uncertainty that had befallen Busch’s career.
There is no denying the fact that Joe Gibbs Racing boasts as one of the marquee teams in the long-standing history of NASCAR. With numerous titles, the team still holds the caliber to earn a championship. Furthermore, there are certain tracks where the eponymous team holds its dominance, where other teams have significantly faltered.
Even Kyle Busch endorses the fact after his disappointing finish at the Miracle Mile.

The former Joe Gibbs Racing driver expresses his adulation for the team for a successful run at the Monster Mile
The Richard Childress Racing driver is surely running high on spirits, given his spectacular season finishes and also three victories. However, the streak seemed to come to a premature end in New Hampshire. It was at the end of Stage 1 that Kyle Busch had to withdraw himself from the 1.058-mile of New Hampshire, after suffering a crash.
To add to the wounds of Kyle Busch, this has not been the first time that the driver has crashed out from the tracks of New Hampshire. A similar incident occurred back in 2021. A sudden weather inclement had led to a multi-car crash on the track. Busch had lost control of his car and spun out before slamming into the outside wall. The car sustained heavy damages and forced the driver to call it a day.
While Kyle Busch dealt with a similar incident in the rain-delayed race, his former team Joe Gibbs Racing drivers were way out of the league, and it is the second consecutive time that the team got to relish the Loudon the Lobster. Owing to such a spectacular performance, even Kyle Busch was left in awe and was forced to acknowledge the fact in a conversation with FOX reporter Bob Pockrass.
The No.8 Chevrolet driver, revealed to Fox, “OK Joe Gibbs Racing is the best team going to Loudon. They’ve had a stranglehold on that place for how long, having the best average finish.”

Nevertheless, the 2x Cup Series who was hoping to achieve the extra points, before heading towards the post-season, simply stumbled down at the New Hampshire track. In the qualifying for Crayon 301, Kyle Busch had undergone a similar incident which forced him to start at the rear of the grid for the main event.
However, as his ill fate could continue, Busch, who was running 27th, crashed to the outside at Turn 1 and sustained heavy damages on the right rear and the right front and was beyond repairs. This forced the driver to retire from the race and call his day. As per Racer, speaking to the media about his fateful day, Busch expressed, “I’ve been lacking right rear grip the whole time we’ve been here.”
“I just couldn’t get the right rear feel in the racetrack. You’re just going along, trying to keep it under you as much as you can. It was getting late in the run, and I was trying a different line, and it was just too high. I didn’t like to be that high on entry.”
“I couldn’t give it wheel and have the right rear stick with the lateral grip that you need. Hate it for our No. 8 Lenovo Chevy team. Our Chevy stuff was a little off this week, at least for us, anyways. We’ll get back to it at Pocono,” Busch affirmed.

Nevertheless, the driver is positive about the fact that he will be able to turn the tides in the remaining races of the regular season. It will be interesting to see how the team strategies itself in the tracks of Pocono, where Kyle Busch’s brother had suffered a horrific crash and is still recuperating.
