Busch said, “Yeah no, I love it. You know, a guy that works as hard as he does, and does as much on his own, as he does. He’s a really smooth guy. I’ve raced against him a lot and we’ve had some really good battles. And we’ve always been cordial with one another.” He added, “We’ve always had a good relationship. So I respect the hell out of him for what he does. And he’s one of the best, definitely one of the best from the South in the Super Late Model ranks. I’ve faced against a lot of greats, you know. Out in the West Coast, up on the Northeast, Midwest, a lot of different names that always come to mind.”
During the interview, Busch shared an incident when he and Pollard had a minor issue. But it does not seem like they held on to that. Great to witness this mutual respect for each other.
“I think the only time was um, the younger kid that was racing for me, he punted them out of the way, I think it was Alabama, one time at a race down there. And he said, ‘Well that’s what Kyle would do.’ And I called him and I’m like bro, when have I ever done that to you, like come on man,” continued Busch.
