It was just last September when the announcement of Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing parting ways came to light. It was a Catch-22 situation for Busch as he was unsure whether he would get a NASCAR ride the next season. So skeptical was he about his future that he even had said to NASCAR Chairman Jim France, “Nice knowing you.”

Busch was later hired by Richard Childress Racing. Months after a heavy reshuffle, everyone seems to have moved on well. Not to mention, Busch has done exceptionally well under RCR with three wins already this season. With the NASCAR Cup Series heading to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway next, Busch couldn’t help but clear the air about his record there.

With over 20 years of experience in the Cup Series, Kyle Busch has had a stellar career so far. His two title wins combined with his 63 victories are a testament to his amazing capabilities behind the wheel. Not only that, having the opportunity to race for Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Richard Childress Racing, has only made it more special.

Interestingly, with his win at Fontana earlier this season, Busch made history by winning at the track with HMS, JGR, and RCR. He now has the chance to achieve a similar feat at New Hampshire Motor Speedway should he win on Sunday. Recently, in an interview with Fox journalist Bob Pockrass, he discussed it in detail.

When asked what it would mean to win with different teams at different tracks, Busch had a clear answer. He said, “I think it just showcases that you, the driver, are talented enough to be able to do that. It’s not just the team.” Having said that, he is wary about Joe Gibbs Racing’s amazing record at NHMS.

He said, “Ok Joe Gibbs Racing is the best team going to Loudon. They’ve had a stranglehold on that place for how long, having the best average finish.” While it is an impressive record, Busch is keen on proving that it is just not the teams that can influence a win at a particular track. So far, he has three wins to his name at New Hampshire.

The 38-year-old said, “If I can go there and I can be fast and we can contend for a win, then it shows that I’ve got something to do with it as well, too.” Well, this has certainly spiced up things for the upcoming race as Busch looks strongly motivated.

As Kyle Busch highlighted, Joe Gibbs Racing drivers tend to impress more often than not at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Coming to the race on Sunday, Christopher Bell will be high on confidence having won at the track last year. Having already won once this season, Bell would fancy doubling his tally on Sunday.

Alongside him, veteran driver Denny Hamlin also has a terrific chance. In fact, Hamlin has the best average finish (9.5) of currently active drivers. Not only that, he has three wins to his name at this track, making him a strong candidate for the win this weekend.

Second-placed Martin Truex Jr is yet to win at New Hampshire but has an impressive 14 top-10 finishes in 29 starts. In fact, he has failed to finish lower than 12th since 2016 at Loudon. Clearly, these are positive signs for JGR ahead of the race on Sunday.
