At the Millbridge Speedway, Brexton Busch proved the age-old saying, ‘like father, like son’. To be precise, the young boy went on to win his maiden Beginner Box Stock Saturday Series at the track. The 6-year-old son of Kyle Busch also earned other accolades, like a 7th place finish in the Beginner Box Stock Tuesday Series. Naturally, many fans were happy for the youngster and wished him luck for his future racing endeavors.
Kyle and his wife Samantha have been pretty heavily invested in their son’s racing career. Busch Sr is doing this while focusing on his own racing career in the NASCAR Cup Series. One thing is for sure, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver is definitely training the next generation of Buschs.
Congrats @brextonbusch on a great season at @MillbridgeRacin. We are so proud of you!!! You have grown and improved so much this season to winning your first Saturday Night Series Championship! We can’t wait to see what you do this year! 🦖🏁🏆 pic.twitter.com/f8cfDqrQ8T

Now, the #18 driver will be looking forward to the 2022 racing season for two reasons. First and foremost is the arrival of the Next Gen cars which will debut next month at the LA Coliseum. Secondly, Brexton Busch will also be looking forward to a new year of racing opportunities. Who knows, maybe a long way down the line, the boy will eventually make it to the NASCAR arena.

What is Kyle Busch looking forward to in the 2022 season?
Admittedly, Busch has been fairly critical of the Next Gen cars, even though he has not had much time in them. So, he may be a little excited to see whether his criticisms are unfounded. Admittedly, no matter how apprehensive he is, he will have to grin and bear it. So the only option he has on the table is to try to adapt quickly to the Gen 7 car.
This year, he is also on the verge of equalling a historical record in the NASCAR Cup Series. To be precise, a win would place him level with Richard Petty for the most consecutive seasons with a win. Of course, records will take a secondary priority, as the main focus will be on seizing a third Cup Series championship.
