Richard Childress‘ revival started with his new pride in joy coming all the way from the trenches of Joe Gibbs Racing. And it really started as a fairytale, but the narrative really changed halfway through the regular season. Because Kyle Busch, who was flirting with a top-5 spot, every race went down to fighting for 15th. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse in Michigan.
However, Busch wasn’t the only one who felt the brunt force of his car hitting the wall at speeds exceeding 150 mph; 2020 Cup Series champion and Hendrick Motorsports speedster, Chase Elliott, who was already staring down the abyss, got his brains rattled with the race literally going sideways for the driver.

NBC’s blunder with Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott’s incidents proves they learned nothing from FOX’s mistakes
What started as a bad weekend quickly turned worse because Ryan Blaney sent the bright red #8 spinning down the corner exit into the wall in turn 1. Of course, the tough luck hit harder because that spin just threw Childress’ pride and joy’s chances of winning down the drain. And as much as one would want that to be the end of the “bad,” fans had to witness the “ugly,” because NBC proved they learned nothing from FOX’s mistakes.
While the 2-time NASCAR Cup Series champ ended his speedway run awfully, bringing the race’s first competition caution on lap 15, Chase Elliott also felt the wall as the #9 Chevy went sideways after the rear right tire gave out on lap 34. The Chevy lost control and was sent sideways into the wall with the rear end receiving the brunt force of the impact.

With 2 of their favorite drivers falling victim to the track, fans were understandably frustrated and to make matters even worse, NASCAR’s broadcasting partner NBC missed out on broadcasting either of the two crashes, making viewers livid.

Despite finally getting the fans’ favor, NBC managed to lose it all with one ugly move right from the pages of FOX. Of course, they completely missed the entire incident happening between #12 and #8 because of an ill-timed ad break.
Fans on Twitter couldn’t hide their emotions as they blatantly exclaimed, “Too bad we couldn’t see it.” However, things really got serious when one fan unleashed possibly the ultimate insult in the community: “NBC won’t show us. They’re being like Fox now.”
CRASH! Chase Elliott!

With the fans already furious with the broadcast missing out on the action, NBC repeated the same flaw when it skipped to commercials yet again when the #9 driver got in the wall. This time though, fans got more fiery, calling out and doubling down on the broadcaster’s negligence.

“There are two truths this season.
1. Where NASCAR goes, it’ll rain.
2. When NASCAR goes to commercial, someone wrecks.”
And this negative emotion didn’t seem to settle down either as more and more fans sarcastically took jabs against the organization, “excellence from nascar production yet again.”
While another fan aimed for the jugular, writing, “Everything is happening during commercial breaks. I’m not liking USA Network showing these races. Also this makes me sad for Chase Elliott.”
