The most successful trucker in NASCAR, Kyle “Rowdy” Busch is back again, making a statement after opening his season in Atlanta. Starting off his Spire Motorsports debut, the 2-time Cup Series champion looked like he was on a mission to take the lead, which he rightfully did so in a couple of laps into the race.
Making his start, Busch makes his 2024 start following his team, Kyle Busch Motorsports’ sale to Spire. Starting off his 2024 Truck Series season, Busch aims to build on his 64 Truck Series career wins. In stage 1 of the race, the #7 cut right across the leader, Tyler Ankrum, in lap 7 to take the lead.

After starting seventh from the grid, he quickly found his rhythm and got to the front, passing the pole sitter Daniel Dye and his Spire Motorsports teammate, Chase Purdy, to get the lead.

Before his Cup Series race, “Bad Boy” gets an early momentum with a stellar win over fellow truckers, extending his legacy in the division, marking his 65th career win in the faction – the most by any driver in the history of the series. Busch put on a clinic for the young competitors in the field, teaching them a lesson or two to the young pack about proper racing, and etiquette, ending the day without an ugly wreck.
The #7 Chevy trucker took the lead early but lost it shortly after but Busch being the competitive fiery driver he is wasn’t going to go down without a fight. The driver got a hold of stage 2 and won it style. With this momentum, Busch fended off fierce competition from Ty Majeski and got his 65th career win.

Kyle Busch takes pride in how he races in all three NASCAR national series. When he is on the track, everyone knows that the level of competition has risen to the elite. Basking in success, the 2-time Cup Series champion shared his delight, thanking his new team, Spire Motorsports, and his manufacturer Chevy, and giving a shout-out to his ardent following.

“Yo Rowdy Nation, what’s up, here we are in Victory Lane today, winning in the Truck Series race,” shouted the driver as he stood in the victory lane victorious. He then added, “Hey, at Atlanta, there’s been a lot of history here winning races at Atlanta from Billy Ballew days, all the way into KBM days, and now in the Spire days. So, thanks to everybody at Chevrolet, thanks to Rowdy Nation, appreciate everybody and all their support, this is awesome to get out here.”

Busch then hinted at a perfect sweep, eyeing his first Cup Series win of 2024 in Atlanta, saying, “Let’s go for two! Let’s get another one tomorrow, sweep the weekend! I’ve had a few brooms.”
