It’s no secret that NASCAR’s love and respect for American veterans is beyond unwavering. Whether it’s Dale Earnhardt Jr or Joe Gibbs commemorating veterans, the sport’s icons leave no stone unturned when it comes to showcasing their gratitude for those who protect the country. But there’s one man who always goes above and beyond by exceeding all expectations of service – Kurt Busch.

Only a few weeks ago, Kurt Busch had the honor of attending Chef Irvine’s Red, White, and Blue dinner which honored those fighting valiantly for Americans’ security. Whilst the 45-year-old could have never believed he would be giving a speech inside the Pentagon in front of 4-star generals, his endless support toward the veterans was perfectly captured by his involvement in Toyota and NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Hall of Heroes!

In an Instagram reel shared by @nascarhall, Kurt Busch was visibly excited to hand out a check worth over $4,000 to the Veterans Bridge Home. The local non-profit organization works to connect military members of the community in hopes of increasing employment rates and overall social interactions. The event included a special question-and-answer session with Kurt Busch, which was hosted by Winston Kelley, Executive Director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame has been raising funds for the Veterans Bridge Home since November 11th through the ‘Trim the Toyota’ concept. The event included a stunning custom-wrapped 2024 Toyota Tundra, which was covered with personalized messages from the community to America’s greatest heroes. All proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Bridge Home with Toyota also matching the amount up to $5,000.

While Kurt Busch is giving it his all to make this holiday season a memorable one for veterans, his recent visit to Guantanamo Bay alongside Chef Irvine was nothing short of wholesome. Teaming up with the Robert Irvine Foundation and Monster Energy, Kurt Busch embarked on a culinary journey to feed over a thousand military personnel in Cuba who were eager to meet the NASCAR legend.

Coming from a chilly Jacksonville, the beautiful sunny shores of Cuba delighted Kurt Busch and Robert Irvine as they began planning for the big day. Whilst Kurt Busch immediately asked if they were gonna race anything, the lunches and brunches that followed were immaculate. He shared his experience, “We were welcomed here in Guantanamo Bay and all the families and everyone here, made us feel like we’re family in a way. But you know, hanging out, saying thank you, and giving back to our military community, this is a special trip and we will be working hard all week.”

Speaking to Corey LaJoie on his podcast, Kurt Busch revealed he still craves more on-track action, especially if he could compete at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Circuit de la Sarthe is a beast many fail to tame. But for a man of Kurt Busch’s caliber, it could be an extremely exhilarating challenge!

He shared, “So number one, I always wanted to race in Le Mans.” Whilst Busch got the green light from Jim France if Busch got cleared for the Garage 56 Program, the 2004 Cup Series champion remains loyal to Toyota. He shared, “But I’m with Toyota, right now and that’s my family right there.”

While most racers dream of making it to the 24 Hour of Le Mans, there’s a particularly dangerous track that catches Busch’s fancy even more. After all, what’s more enticing than a few laps around the Green Hell, especially in one of your own prized possessions? Busch shared, “Then like go to Nurburgring, that’s a bucket list item I wanted to do post racing, was send one of my sports cars to Germany and go drive around Nurburgring.
