Barely two weeks have passed since the Double heartbreak and Kyle Larson has already reclaimed his glory, with a resounding win at Sonoma Raceway. Once NASCAR officially granted him a waiver, nothing  could stop him. His 26th career win enthralled his fans as well as close ones. Bathing in bliss, Larson topped off the win with a hilarious act recalling his childhood days.

Kyle Larson gets on his mother’s nerves

Janet Larson, Larson’s mother, was present along with her husband Mike Larson at Sonoma Raceway. Seeing their son break the Double misfortune and snag another trophy drew them to Victory Lane. But Larson was busy revisiting childhood memories of getting on his parents’ nerves.

But as Kyle Larson passed them, he deliberately revved up his engines and emitted a roaring sound. Mrs. Larson immediately covered her eyes, visibly shocked and irritated. Jeff Gluck shared the video over Twitter, writing, “Janet Larson, Kyle’s mom, takes a video of her son driving to victory lane and waves…then he blasts her with noise. 😂”

Both Janet and Mike have missed some crucial moments like Larson’s debut wins across the K&N Series, Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and even his first Cup Series victory. Yet Mike Larson justified their absence last year. “That’s OK though. As long as he wins, I don’t have to be there. Janet and I would have been in the grandstands anyway, that’s where we go every time to watch him race. It would have taken us half the (victory) ceremony anyway just trying to get back over there (to Victory Lane).”

Now that they visited the Sonoma Victory Lane, their son had a cheeky surprise waiting for them. And Larson’s fans are tickled as well.

Kyle Larson’s parents played pivotal roles in building his racing career. Right from purchasing a No. 1 Decal kart in 1999 to punching a ticket to the Cup Series in 2015, they have steadfastly supported Kyle Larson’s racing career. Hence Larson harbors immense love and respect for his family, as evident from his boyish behavior at Sonoma. What can be better than annoying your closest family?

The NASCAR family completely agrees, as fans poured their positive sentiments on Jeff Gluck’s post. Tickled to see their favorite driver shed his professional mask and wear a mischievous cape, one fan commented: “Kids will be kids lol.” Another fan observed that one of the greatest drivers is no different than any cheeky, fun-loving person. “Larson is ONE OF US 😂”

Driving at speeds and horsepower above normal cars, NASCAR’s Cup cars are heavenly for motorheads. Hence one fan justified Kyle Larson’s roaring tactics, comparing with his own desire. “With those exhaust pipes, I don’t blame him. I would do it too.” However, Janet Larson faced the consequences as the tremendous sound battered her ears, and one fan poked fun: “She got blasted hahah by the noise!!! 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣.” Another fan quietly smiled at the endeavor, despite apologizing to Janet: “this is great! Sorry Janet. Hehe.”

All in all, Kyle Larson’s moment of mischief is sanctioned by the NASCAR community although he may get grounded back at home!
