Is Kevin Harvick planning on writing a book? It looks like he might if his wife has her way! However, with NASCAR’s jam-packed schedule, drivers, including those who’ve crossed the most finish lines in their careers, like Kevin Harvick, now a FOX analyst and owner of Cars Tour Late Model Racing, barely get any downtime with family. So, when DeLana Harvick playfully floated the idea of Kevin writing a book through an online poll, his comeback was spot-on.

Kevin Harvick shared his thoughts on his wife’s suggestion

DeLana Harvick dropped a tweet with a poll, sparking curiosity among fans: “Soooo, now I’m curious, who thinks Pops should write a book?!? @KevinHarvick If he did, what would you like to see included?” Fans lit up at the idea, buzzing about the possibility of a Harvick book. However, Harvick himself seemed a tad overwhelmed by the notion.

His reply? When in the world would I have time to do this? Late model season is almost here… True enough! Kevin Harvick, alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr, owns the CARS Tour Series, which kicked off on March 9 at Southern National Motorsports Park. Plus, the excitement’s building even more, especially with Dale Earnhardt Jr set to race at the New River All-American Speedway on Saturday, April 13, driving the #3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet.

The event at New River All-American Speedway will mark the third race of the 2024 CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car season, pushed back from March 23 to April 13 due to bad weather predictions. With all eyes on this upcoming race, Harvick’s calendar is jam-packed, leaving little room for book-writing. Yet, the fans’ enthusiasm brought forward plenty of great ideas for his potential book.

However, fans had some interesting suggestions for his book

Apparently, DeLana Harvick’s tweet really got NASCAR fans buzzing with some top-notch ideas for Kevin Harvick’s possible book. While a bunch were keen on diving into his early racing days, others were all about getting the scoop on his personal life too.

Fans throwing in their two cents on what they’d love to see included were like, “I trust you and Kevin to know what is best to include. His autobiography will be a BEST SELLER!” and “Yes! Full Autobiography.” Some were curious about “Replacing Dale… All that went with that… Deciding to leave RCR for Tony and Gene… How’s the tv broadcast life…. His thoughts on the kids racing… Would he ever consider buying a cup team?”

Suggestions also included “Early days at RCR testing and in Busch series, what it was like taking over for Dale and his years at RCR. Process of him deciding to leave RCR for SHR. Process on his decision to retire and go to the booth. Highlight championships and major wins,” and “Mainly everything that went down while he was at RCR and if there were hard feelings between himself and Richard that led to his departure.”

Folks were especially eager about the parts where he stepped into Dale Earnhardt Sr‘s shoes, “I would love it, possibly talk about having to come in and take over for Dale Sr. What kind of pressure he had and did that help him become the driver he was?” Another one said, “Should definitely include him taking over the 29 after Dale Earnhardt’s passing.”

Some were drawn more to his life off the track, suggesting, “Slightly different take: It needs to be a romance novel about you guys meeting, courting, marrying and raising a family,” while another one said, “Include both your families, and info about you both when younger and go through joining RCR before he took over for Dale . Things we might not have heard before he started driving the #3.” Others hoped for a deep dive into his entire racing journey, “I would be most interested in the stories of his early career. Go karts, late models, Winston West, etc…” and “Early days of 🏁 and transition to retirement from driving !! There is a lot accomplished 🏁 many chapters!!”
