Getting back to the tracks after one has retired is not something new when it comes to NASCAR. This time, it is about a NASCAR favorite, Kevin Harvick who has come back for tracks once again. Harvick retired in 2023 from the full-time season and since then fans have been waiting for him to make an entry.

Harvick is famously known as “Hot and Humid Harvick” due to his preference for racing in warm, steamy conditions. However, this time around, things might be different for the driver, as he’s facing a much colder, freezing temperature! Apart from hearing his voice on Fox, this appearance was long anticipated and he has also announced the launch of something exciting as well!

When Kevin Harvick announced that he would be bidding goodbye to the tracks as he wanted to spend more time with his family, fans got emotional. However, after two years, it seems as though Harvick will eventually get back, to promote NASCAR within the community at a CARS TOUR West Event. The former Cup Series champion is set to drive a late model at Kern County Raceway Park in his upcoming race, with sponsorship from HendrickCars.com.

The race for which Harvick is preparing at the moment is named SoundGearHear 400 and it is a 400-lap event all set for 25th January. The race will kickstart the SPEARS CARS Tour West which is partly owned by Kevin Harvick himself and Fake Earnhardt JR. Announcing the same, Harvick took to X and posted, “excited to race a Super Late Model at Kern County Raceway Park on Jan. 25th for the @SoundGearHear 400!📅 Live: 3 PM PST📍 Kern County Raceway Check out the limited-edition t-shirt for the event. Get yours while supplies last: @KHI_ESHOP”.

Given that the fan following for Kevin Harvick is quite widespread, the t-shirt that sports his special mention is going to be the biggest hit. In fact, fans often sport such t-shirts live at the tracks which sparks more emotions. A couple of weeks ago, when Harvick had first disclosed the possibility of his appearance, he said, “I’m excited to be back behind the wheel again in Bakersfield. I believe in West Coast racing and this is a great opportunity for the competitors to shine as well as bringing an exciting event to the community.”

This will also be the time that the ARCA Menards Series will be going live in its full blow. Given that Harvick is associated with this domain of motorsports as well, fans will be able to witness more of him. Not only Harvick but even Dale Earnhardt Jr will be hitting the tracks in 2025. He will be seen at the zMAX CARS Tour debut at Cordele Motor Speedway in Georgia on April 12. Speaking of the opportunity, Dale Jr said, “It’s thrilling to add this race to the short list of events I’ll be racing in next year. Fans in the area are excited, and our teams are looking forward to this new challenge”.

Huddleston shares his insights about Harvick joining the race

Tim Huddleston, co-owner of the SPEARS CARS Tour West, alongside Harvick, shared his thoughts on having a driver of Harvick’s caliber join the race. For drivers who have made it to the run, this would indeed be a great opportunity to run alongside someone who has years of experience.

Huddleston added, “This is a tremendous opportunity for our competitors to compete alongside Kevin Harvick and demonstrate their abilities on a major stage. We’ve built this series to provide racers with the platform they deserve, and the season opener is a chance to show the strength of West Coast motorsports”.

This will be the first time that Harvick will be racing after the Stewart Haas Racing team closed its formal operations. Fans cannot wait to experience the kind of excitement and enthusiasm that this will bring.
