One could make a pretty good case for Kyle Busch being one of the biggest disappointments of the 2022 season. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver’s season, for the longest time, had the dark cloud of an uncertain future hovering over it.
And even though it got cleared as his move to Richard Childress Racing was announced.
The fact remains that Busch’s results and on-track performances have been nothing short of disappointing, be it for one reason or the other.

All of this has led to a lot of frustration and unrest in the Rowdy nation. But now the season is coming to an end, and the fans are looking forward to seeing their driver next year with a new start.
Just look at what Rodney Childers, the crew chief of Kevin Harvick, recently spotted on the back of a truck.

Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs reflect on parting ways after one and half a decade of marriage
Speaking about his time at Joe Gibbs Racing, a team where he won his two Cup Series championships, and frankly, became one of the all-time greats of the sport, Kyle Busch claimed he wouldn’t get too carried away by the emotions.

“I don’t anticipate that being too emotional, no,” Busch said. “Probably a little bit of my character, one, but then probably a little bit of the way it has all gone down, two.”

Even Joe Gibbs described their 15 years of being a team as “awesome,” something he really appreciates “so much.”

“We worked hard trying to get everything done there. [But] we couldn’t,” he described. “I think he’s found a home. I’ll be willing to bet he’s going to be after it next year, and he’s going to want to win a bunch of races.”
