Let’s talk about the next generation of NASCAR drivers. For many, it becomes a family tradition to stay within the sport and an example of that can be seen with Dale Earnhardt and his son Jr. Both have made a name for themselves in the sport, and after years of racing in NASCAR, Jr. retired from racing to get into broadcasting.

While Dale Jr. has retired from NASCAR, other drivers are getting their younglings ready for the tracks. One of them happens to be Kyle Larson, whose idea of quality time with his daughter means watching her ripping around the go-kart track. Although Kyle Larson’s daughter loves go-karting, it can get monotonous to do so alone. So when they went down to the track recently, Kevin Harvick was buzzed in to bring along his daughter, and here is the full scoop.

Kevin Harvick’s daughter reignites her passion for go-karting

During the latest episode of Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour, the team spoke about everything that happened at the Atlanta race. However, for them to end it without sharing some personal stories would make the show feel incomplete. Luckily, Kevin Harvick had a fun tale to share about Kyle Larson and his daughter.

On the podcast, Harvick revealed, “Larson’s daughter, Audrey, was at the go-kart track on Thursday and had a little incident. She was asking when Piper could come ride because she needed somebody to ride with.” To ensure that his daughter has a friend, Kyle Larson looked at Kevin Harvick’s way as he too has a kid around the same age.

“So Larson texted me, and I showed Piper the text. I said, ‘Do you want to go ride?’ and she replied, ‘Heck, yeah, let’s do it,'” explained Harvick. When his daughter agreed, it came as a shocker for the 48-year-old as Piper got done with go-karting after just two rounds. All the credit for Piper leaving the track goes to the summer heat, which the rest of the podcast understood well.

But knowing that Audrey would be there, Piper was excited to get back behind the wheel. “So we went to the go-kart track on Friday before Atlanta. Piper had the best day she’s ever had. The reason it was so great was that she got to be the teacher she wanted to teach Audrey how to go around the track.”

Being the teacher helped her, as after sharing some crucial tips with Audrey, “She ran every session without issues or complaints and had a fantastic time,” concluded Kevin Harvick. Seeing young children take to racing is always a joyous sight, and who is to say that we are not looking at NASCAR’s future champions?

We all know Kevin Harvick is one of the most celebrated drivers in NASCAR. Not only did he have a distinguished career, but he is still working closely with the NASCAR community by bringing insights from races and drivers. Now we must note that Harvick has two kids, one son, Keelan, and Piper, his daughter. Both have taken to racing, and Kevin Harvick couldn’t be more proud.

What’s more is that despite just being 7 years old, Piper has a racing spirit and that’s what pushes her to get behind the wheel. Back in December 2023, Piper was set to participate in the Snowball Derby, and the proud father that Harvick is, he made an announcement along with the CARS Tour saying that his daughter will be racing at Trackhouse Motorplex.

The look that Piper gave with her gear on made it onto Kevin Harvick’s Instagram, and the post started to go viral. The child had her game face on, and one look into her eyes made it clear that she meant business. Fans couldn’t help but get excited to see the daughter of the legend take on the track, and what an event it was!
