There is hardly any doubt that Kevin Harvick is one of the best NASCAR drivers out there. With the type of highs and lows he has seen throughout his career, there is only a little that ‘The Closer’ can’t do. However, seemingly ‘Happy Harvick’ might not be that happy with switching tracks. In the dirt racing circuit, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson has established himself as one of the most skilled drivers on the track. In fact, his enthusiasm for the sport forced him to host a major Dirt Late Model race in April 2022. And now, after years of participating in the Chilli Bowl, Larson is making his first appearance in the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout in January 2023.

Amidst all of it, Kevin Harvick fans need to know whether they’ll see their favorite driver on the dirt track. A NASCAR fan replied to a Harvick tweet with a question, asking him whether he would stick to the asphalt or ever go to do dirt racing. The user received a reply.

This might come as a surprise for many, following Kevin Harvick’s public outburst at Bristol Dirt after an on-track accident ended his race.

Kevin Harvick said there was nobody to pack the track

Earlier in April this year, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver, who was disappointed with the track conditions at Bristol, said, “The first thing I can tell you is we did a terrible job of prepping the track. Full of mud and there was nobody here to pack the track, so we all look like a bunch of bozos coming in to pit because we don’t know how to prep the track.”

“And then we don’t get the lucky dog for whatever reason with two cars on pit road, and then we got run over. I don’t know who ran us over at the end.”

“I had a great car. The racetrack was fine; they just did a terrible job to start with. They’ve done this before, but obviously, it doesn’t look like it.”

Given these comments, Harvick’s tweet may have come as a surprise. However, in the same interview, he did call Bristol a great racetrack. Do you think this may have been the reason he said he would do some dirt racing at the Bristol Motor Speedway?
