Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr showdown—that’s all the talk in town for the NASCAR world! The entire situation was dramatic, from Busch going after Stenhouse Jr and shoving him to the wall, Stenhouse Jr waiting at Busch’s hauler and ultimately throwing a punch—talk about drama. And now not just the internet but veterans like Kevin Harvick have picked their sides.

Kevin Harvick was also present at the race, and he was replacing Larson for Hendricks. He surely has picked a side, and that’s not with Kyle Busch. And it’s not just him, seems like NASCAR officials too have picked sides!

“I honestly have no idea what Kyle Busch is mad at,” Kevin Harvick dropped the eleven-letter bomb at his podcast, Harvick’s Happy Hour. After watching the video of the entire incident multiple times, it doesn’t seem that the situation was only due to what happened on the track. He sensed that something deeper might be in play and that, according to him, is Kyle Busch’s internal frustrations.

Kevin Harvick even backed it up with proof of a statement that Kyle Busch gave to Stenhouse Jr. Busch has said, “I suck as bad as you do”. According to Kevin Harvick, this is very telling about the mental situation and the frustrations that Kyle Busch seems to be having. Busch’s current situation at NASCAR is bleak. He isn’t sitting at the top, and the frustrations might have triggered it all. “I think that we finally have seen the trigger that pushed Kyle over the edge with the, with the performance of what they’ve been doing on the racetrack and the things that have been happening,” Harvick said.

In fact, even Jeff Burton echoed the same opinion as Kevin Harvick. He said to NBC, “Whatever you think about him [Kyle Busch], he’s also a human being. The guy loves to win, and he hasn’t been able to on a frequent basis. There’s no way that’s not on his mind.” Whether it’s past unresolved issues between Kyle Busch and Stenhouse Jr or just Busch’s frustration given his current position in NASCAR, the fight had two parties involved. And NASCAR’s recent ruling and penalty were plastered just on one!

Is NASCAR being unconventional about the Kyle Busch vs. Ricky Stenhouse brawl?

Whatever happened, already happened right, and it has everyone talking. Even NASCAR jumped on the bandwagon and posted about it on their Twitter page. It clearly was a post supporting Stenhouse Jr. The picture was that of the brawl and it was captioned: “Ricky felt like something needed to be done. So he did something.”

NASCAR just rolled out a huge penalty, except it didn’t apply to Busch. It applied to everyone else indirectly or directly involved during the brawl, but not Busch, who we saw retaliating! On the other hand, Stenhouse Jr. has been fined $75,000, and two of his team members have been suspended after the fracas that ensued after the brawl between Stenhouse Jr. and Busch. Racing crew member Keith Matthews is suspended for four races and crew member Clint Myrick is suspended for their role in the fight. Stenhouse Sr., who was just out there blocking Busch from attacking his son, was always suspended indefinitely. Given that he received those blows from Busch, this ruling still doesn’t work. Punishment was almost certain, considering the premeditated nature of the fight. Stenhouse Jr. waited on Busch to come to the hauler, and then we all know how it went.

However, it just sends a conflicting message from NASCAR, given that they were promoting the altercation at their socials. And it seems like another message from NASCAR, considering the sanctioning body’s promotion of the altercation. And this was noticed even by Daniel Suarez!  What do you think about the entire altercation? By now, it’s just overstretched, but do you feel Stenhouse Jr. bearing the brunt of the fight alone is fair? Let us know!
