Kyle Busch kicked off the season impressively, emerging 2nd at the Busch Light Clash. In Daytona 500 qualifying, he ranked 8th, showcasing his skill with a lap time of 49.837 seconds for R1 and 49.756 seconds for R2. During the first practice session before the race, he finished 16th. 

However, misfortune struck during Duel 2 as he endured his first Did Not Finish (DNF) of the season after colliding with Ryan Blaney‘s car. 


Despite starting 34th in the Daytona 500, Busch demonstrated resilience, finishing 6th and 4th in Stages 1 and 2 respectively. 

A pit stop setback hampered his momentum, but luck was on his side as he narrowly avoided a major wreck. Despite finishing 12th in the Daytona 500, Busch’s commendable performance earned him 37 points, securing the 8th position on the season’s points table, again aligning perfectly with his car number.
