Bubba Wallace simply can’t catch a break. No, not from the bad luck that tainted his performances on track for the majority of the current season, something that has gotten better recently as his finishes reflect.

He can’t catch a break from senseless, needless, and unwarranted hate from completely unexpected and irrelevant sources, like Nick Adams, the political activist and author sponsored by former President Donald Trump.

In the post-race interview on the front stretch, a distraught Bubba Wallace couldn’t hold back the frustration and heartbreak he had after finishing, what was really a good spot, P2.

Wallace beat himself up for his result, emphasizing just how he has failed his team, and fans.

“All in all an incredible weekend. Appreciate my team. Wish we could have got Toyota in Victory Lane. Wish we could have got McDonald’s back in Victory Lane. She was fast all week. I’ll wear this one on my heart for a while. I failed everybody.”
