Kaz Grala will attempt the Great American Race as the third entry for Front Row Motorsports. He will be behind the wheel of the No.36 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at the Daytona International Speedway. He will be sponsored by Ruedebusch Development and Construction who will help his cause to qualify for the crown jewel race in NASCAR.

Grala has previously featured twice at the Daytona 500, finishing 28th in 2021 and 26th in 2022. He was unable to attempt last season but he is back for his third attempt. However, to make this dream come true, Kaz Grala will have to first undergo qualifying on Wednesday, February 14. He and his team will also have another shot at making the race by competing at Thursday night’s Duel event qualifying races.

Front Row Motorsports announced today that Kaz Grala will be attempting to be their third entry at the Great American race. Missing out on the 2023 Daytona 500 race, the 25-year-old Boston native will have a crack at racing at the iconic event with the new partnership with FRM.

Expressing his excitement for the event under the new banner, Grala said, “I have to thank Bob (Jenkins) and Carl (Ruedebusch) for this opportunity to return to the Daytona 500. Qualifying is so unique for the 500 and it is the toughest challenge, mentally, on a driver and team as you prepare a car, qualify, and then race the 150. But I know the car we have will be fast, the Ford engine from Roush Yates Engines will be the best out there, and I am ready. I feel this is one of my best chances at the Daytona 500 with everyone involved.”

Like Kaz Grala, FRM themselves did not have a third entry at the previous edition of the mega event. It was in 2022 when they added Zane Smith to the Ford No.36. Taking to social media, the team said, “You know what’s better than two cars @DAYTONA? THREE CARS @DAYTONA. We are excited to announce that we have entered the No. 36 Ford Mustang Dark Horse with @KazGrala for The Great American Race!
