They say that age is just a number. Well, that is pretty true when one looks at Kenny Wallace. For some, racing is a sport to build their careers on, to take on the tough endeavors of life, and to raise a solid foundation. But for ‘The Herminator’ – racing is life.
A few days from now, the popular dirt racing veteran will once again put on the helmet to race in the JEGS performance dirt car at the Gateway Dirt Nationals. Reacting to the old-timer’s zeal and passion for his craft, Kaulig Racing President reached out to Wallace, chiming in with a wholesome tweet.

Still having strong prospects for his racing career, next month, Wallace will race at the National Dirt race tournament for his sponsor and long-time associate, JEGS performance, in the #36 car at Gateway. Announcing the same, the NASCAR Hall of Famer wrote on X, “December 14-15-16 downtown St.Louis Missouri. We race the @JEGSPerformance DIRT car inside the DOME with the @GatewayDirt.” To which Chris Rice, the Kaluig Racing President had a lovely retweet.
Hinting Wallace’s great legacy and the veteran’s unbridled passion for the sport, he wrote, “Can I come help?? I can do tires!!”

Starting from humble beginnings in race shops as a mechanic tending to his father and brother’s teams, Wallace got a seat in NASCAR owing to the great Dale Earnhardt. The legend showed the 1986 American Speed Association Rookie of the Year the way in 1988.
Wallace did exceptionally well in his first start, coming across the line 11th driving the #8 GM Goodwrench Chevy in grand style at Martinsville. While a never-ending barrage of mechanical faults across his career along with being a direct comparison to his brother, the great Rusty Wallace dwarfed his NASCAR career, there is no question about The Herminator’s passion for the sport or his capabilities as a driver.
