The best way to respond in sports is to respond on the field. This is exactly what the Kansas City Chiefs did against longtime rivals, Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs defeated the Raiders 48-9 after the Las Vegas team had disrespected the Chief’s logo. And after this emphatic win, former NASCAR driver and fan Clint Bowyer rubbed it in.

Bowyer, whose love for the Chiefs is well known, took a dig at the Las Vegas Raiders on his Twitter account. He wrote, “We’ll show them….they said,” followed by a laughing emoticon.

Raiders fired up the Chiefs even before the game began

Some members of the Raiders team gathered on the Kansas City Chiefs logo inside their own stadium. This was a disrespectful act that only fuelled up the home team even more.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes admitted that this act gave them “a little more motivation.” He said, “It gave us a little more motivation to go out there and win against a really good football team that we have a rivalry against that usually is a tough football game.”

“You definitely don’t want people to come into your stadium and disrespect things that you kind of built.”

Mahomes added, “We didn’t want them winning here again.”

“We went out there and handled business.”

On the other side of the fence, Raiders linebacker, K. J. Wright, empathized with Mahomes’ team. He admitted he’d be upset too if somebody did this to their team in their home stadium.

“Anybody that comes there and do that? And they definitely came out and responded to their anger and we couldn’t hold up.”
