Following the footsteps of the great Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson revealed his wish to attempt the infamous “Double,” taking on two of the most grueling races on the planet on the very same day – the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. Larson’s team fulfilled his wish when they broke the news announcing their partnering with Arrow McLaren in 2024 and getting the driver a shot at his ambition. Well, now it looks like it is Trackhouse Racing is about to follow suit.

Following its entry into the world of bike racing, unveiling its new team and its bikes, Justin Marks has big plans on his mind. The co-owner recently revealed his own “Double” aspirations.

MotoGP Trackhouse Entertainment Group is now the 11th team in MotoGP. This is a gamble by the NASCAR team to further vault its global ambitions. Owner Justin Marks unveiled the bikes during an exclusive event to announce the American team’s entry into MotoGP. During the announcement, Marks also revealed his thoughts about following Larson and Stewart, in an attempt to conquer Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600.

According to Adam Stern’s tweet, the former NASCAR driver has confirmed that the only condition that would push Trackhouse Racing to ever take on the challenge is that it will only happen with his Cup Series driver in the driver’s seat.

Marks stated, “We go to the Indy 500, the only way we do it is if we do it as a Double with one of our @NASCAR Cup drivers. We’re not going to do it just to do it.”

But the bigger question is, if the thought comes to fruition, who will be at the helm? Will it be Ross Chastain or the Supercar sensation Shane Van Gisbergen who will make his official NASCAR entry next year?

Trackhouse Racing became the newest MotoGP team when it announced it was taking over the defunct RNF racing. The team has confirmed that they’ll join the grid for the 2024 season, partnering up with Aprilia. The American team will essentially take over the old RNF squad and its employees while its riders, Miguel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez, who are in contract with Aprilia, will also remain in the squad.

Marks, who earlier this year visited the MotoGP paddock in search of opportunities, said, “This is not a NASCAR team going motorcycle racing. This is the Trackhouse Entertainment Group identifying opportunities globally to participate in, high-value events and championships. The long-term vision of Trackhouse was never just to build a great Cup team.”

Marking this moment as taking the team “to greater heights,” NASCAR tweeted Marks’s words, “It has been in the ethos of Trackhouse since the very first day to put in the work, have the vision, and deploy the enthusiasm and passion necessary to build one of the most valuable motorsports entertainment companies in the world.”
