Even though you are an upcoming prodigy in motorsports, there is only a handful number of times that teachers will excuse you from school. Teenage champion driver Connor Zilisch seems to have faced a similar dilemma. Juggling mandatory school activities and a hectic NASCAR schedule, Zilisch faces issues with school attendance. As a solution, none other than the Trackhouse Racing owner came to his rescue.

Connor Zilisch may be young, but what he lacks in age, he makes up for in his stellar driving skills. The 17-year-old has won accolades in a ten-year racing career. Starting off professionally in 2021, Zilisch swiftly climbed the ladder. He won the top prize in the Mazda MX-5 Cup scholarship in 2021, claimed Rookie of the Year in 2022, and secured four victories in 2023.

Justin Marks spotted that spark in him and did not waste time in inducting him into his fold. So on 11th of Jan, the 17-year-old signed a multi-year contract with Trackhouse Racing, becoming a development driver for them. The team owner admitted Zilisch’s talent in a team release, saying, “I have watched Connor grow from a youngster racing go-karts at the Trackhouse Motorplex to an up-close seat as he beat all of us in the Trans-Am race at VIR a few months ago. This kid is an amazing talent who we wanted to be a part of the Trackhouse family.”
