During the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega, Justin Haley emerged victorious. In the post-race press conference, some asked him about a particular word above his car door. To be precise, Haley had the name, ‘DarkHorse’ emblazoned just above the door.
He revealed, “It’s been with me since the Truck days when I was at GMS and went all the way into the Final Four. I had a chance at the championship. Lot of people doubted my existence in the playoffs even in that year. I felt like an underdog.”
Really special to be in the same category as @DaleJr & Dale Sr for consecutive speedway wins. Proud to get @MattKaulig & @KauligRacing more trophy’s. Still plenty to get. 👊🏼 pic.twitter.com/SvO3bYKQqP

He admitted that he is not as social media savvy as his Xfinity contemporaries. Instead, he likes to maintain his privacy and if he was not a racing driver, he would not have any social media. What else did Justin Haley say?
The 21-year old insisted that he is there to win races and he does not care about anything else. He concluded, “I’ve always been overlooked, it’s just how it is.”
It is also noteworthy that this is Haley’s third consecutive speedway win. At this point, Haley feels right at home on speedway tarmac, given his track record. What this win has done is seal his berth in the next round of the playoffs.

The driver snatched the lead on the penultimate lap of the race and practically earned his spot in the Round of 8. In addition to that, this is his third visit to Victory Lane this season. This also puts him in elite company, as his superspeedway streak is shared with the late Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Admittedly, this was a slightly underwhelming win, as he won the race under caution. In his defense, it was out of his hands, due to a multicar wreck on the final lap. The victory is Kaulig Racing’s fourth one in the last five superspeedway contests.
