Julia Landauer didn’t exactly have the best start to her NASCAR Xfinity career. At her debut race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Justin Allgaier tagged her into a spin. Sadly, Landauer could not finish the race, and she was bitterly disappointed.

After the race, many fans also sympathized with her. Recently, the 30-year-old Alpha Prime Racing driver thanked the fans for their motivation.
You guys have sent me a lot of “chin up” messages about the contact with @J_Allgaier, which I’m grateful for. While I know the contact wasn’t intentional or malicious, I would like to share why it was still such a blow👇🏻 pic.twitter.com/vajGHX3Flv

She was quick to assure that the contact with Allgaier was far from malicious. Unfortunately, it did not take away the fact that it ended prematurely and Landauer could only wonder what could have been.
She said, “Justin gets to race every week. One misjudgment and contact doesn’t have much impact on his season or racing future. On the other hand, we had one race that we worked for months to get sponsorship for.”
“Getting hit by a veteran in Stage 1 ruined our race, and I don’t have a guaranteed next one. That moment of carelessness had a disproportionately bad effect on us.”
What else did Julia Landauer say about the race?
The 30-year-old acknowledged that the incident was a purely racing accident. That being said, the incident could have been avoided and came at a really bad time. This was because she was just finding a good rhythm and was in the process of learning about the car and getting faster.

Of course, Landauer acknowledged that Allgaier was a decent person and everyone in her team gracefully accepted his apology.

It is also worth mentioning that Landauer has been working hard to make a name for herself. This is because she does not want to be the next Danica Patrick, but be her own person.

Now, they are back to square one and will have to work harder to rope in sponsors. As of now, she needs their help to be able to compete in more races this year. At New Hampshire, she insisted that she was trying her hardest to not be a hindrance for the race leaders. Sadly, the contact with the #7 car of Allgaier meant that it wasn’t enough, though he still went on to win the race.
