Dale Earnhardt Jr recently spent a beautiful day at a family reunion. As is usual in such gatherings, the kids were the ones enjoying the most. However, the adults did not shy away from either making the most of the day together. Later, speaking with Mike Davis on The Dale Jr. Download podcast, he spoke at length about his love for certain candies and treats from the past. That evoked feelings of nostalgia among the listeners and fans—one of them being the controversial Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams.
Despite being among the most famous drivers in NASCAR history and a successful businessman and media personality, Dale Jr is widely considered to be a very humble person with a big heart. Despite achieving success in all walks of life, the JR Motorsports owner has handled his fame very gracefully and has managed to keep himself rooted. His unpretentious demeanor was reflected once again as he talked about candies in the podcast episode.

Junior and Davis recently talked about the candies they used to love as kids. They recalled quite a few with a nostalgic longing for their childhood. They excitedly spoke about candies like shredded beef jerky, pop rocks, and Gator Gum. Davis wondered if Dale Jr still remembers the candy cigarettes, saying, “I don’t know if the youth of America are still smoking candy cigarettes.”
“I know right, they were so good though,” Dale Jr responded. While “Candyman” Dale Earnhardt Jr had fun discussing candies, the discussion elicited a response from Josh Williams, who must have found the said cigarette candy in retail somewhere. He went on to share a photograph of the same on Twitter and tagged Junior in the post.

Upon listening to the podcast episode, one could argue that Dale Jr is more worthy of the nickname “Candyman,” considering that Kyle Busch‘s association with M&M’s is a thing of the past now.
