Home/NASCAR

Tyler Reddick is just coming off his best-ever season in the NASCAR Cup Series. The 28-year-old finished fourth for 23XI Racing, reaching the Championship 4 for the first time in his career. After a stellar season, Reddick and his wife, Alexa Reddick, announced that they are expecting another child! Their younger son, Beau Reddick, was born in 2019, the year Reddick won the Xfinity Series championship.

Well, it seems like 23XI Racing drivers and owners are on the same wavelength. Just a week before Reddick and his family dropped the ball, Jordan Fish announced her third child with Hamlin, arriving in June as well! The couple already have two little girls, Taylor James (11) and Molly Gold (7). With this in mind, Fish’s warning was a sweet reminder of parenthood.

Jordan Fish shared Tyler Reddick’s post on her Instagram story and wrote, “It’s going to be a busy June for 23XIRacing“. In a way, she is right, because Reddick is part of the 23XI Racing family, and that family is growing by one. In addition to Hamlin’s two kids, with a third on the way, Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda added to the 23XI Racing family with Becks Hayden last year. Fish also wrote, “Yay!!! Can’t wait to do this together!” under Reddick’s post.

After his excellent 2024 season, followed by tumultuous lawsuit proceedings, the news of his second child comes as a breath of fresh air for the #45 driver. Reddick was on the verge of leaving 23XI because of the charter situation. Luckily, the injunction was approved just before he could exercise his contract rights to leave 23XI.

Denny Hamlin too is coming off a disappointing 2024 season which saw him fail to qualify for the Championship 4 for the third straight year. His title drought might be continuing on the same page, but his fatherhood opens a new chapter. The 23XI Racing duo enter 2025 ready to be parents once again.

Have an interesting take?

For the moment, the gender of Reddick’s youngest and Hamlin’s youngest are a mystery. Neither the driver nor their partner has given any indication of whether they are expecting a boy or a girl. Regardless, these fresh faces are going to arrive smack-dab in the middle of the season.

Reddick and Hamlin should take advice from Tony Stewart

Now that we know when Tyler Reddick and Denny Hamlin are going to become fathers again, let’s take a look at how the season will look in June. As per the schedule released right now, June will be a monumental month for NASCAR. It will be the first time a points-paying Cup Series race is hosted outside of the United States. The Cup Series will travel to Mexico City for a race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on June 15th.

Both of them would hope that their racing schedules don’t clash with the delivery. However, if it does, family always comes first. They can take a bit of inspiration from Tony Stewart as he learned that his son, Dominic James Stewart, was going to be born while he was racing in Pomona. “I’m doing a hospitality appearance before our first run of the day. Near the end of it, Kelly Antonelli, our team manager, comes over to me, puts her hand on my shoulder and says that Leah is on her way to the hospital in Phoenix,” Stewart said.

Stewart was qualifying for the NHRA Finals when his wife, Leah Pruett, went into labor. Smoke finished his qualifying and rushed to Arizona. He made it in time and witnessed the birth of his first child.

While Reddick and Hamlin will be giving it their all during the Cup Series, they would be aware that a father’s call is just around the corner in June.
