Recently, a fan wondered about who was the fastest NASCAR driver. Of course, every NASCAR season decides this question every year, though the answers vary. However, the criteria for this was that no cars were to be involved, and it was a foot race. Some suggested that Corey LaJoie and Ross Chastain could be good candidates. LaJoie caught wind of the post and revealed that he and Joey Logano actually tied in a 40-yard race. Logano responded to LaJoie’s statement in a hilarious manner.
According to LaJoie, the 40-yard race ended with them getting a time of 4.95 seconds. The venue for their showdown was an ASU event back in 2019. Logano quipped, “I’m like an ostrich. Pretty fast in an awkward way“. Admittedly, it isn’t surprising to see these two drivers bantering on social media. The two of them have done it a fair number of times, taking playful digs at each other.

This isn’t the first time Joey Logano and Corey LaJoie joked around
Last time, LaJoie joked that Joey Logano would drop the letter ‘Y’ in his name. This would happen when it was stuck on the Next Gen car. The Penske driver took it as a challenge and carried out his promise. So, the #22 car had ‘Joe Logano’ where his name was supposed to be on the side of the Ford machine.

For now, Logano and LaJoie are simply enjoying the post-season break. To be perfectly honest, they will need it, as next season will be tough, especially with the introduction of the new car and new rules.
On the bright side, many drivers and teams either tested the new cars or will test them in the future. One thing is for sure, the 2022 Cup Series will be very intriguing, with many drivers in the running and the chance of a grid shake-up.
