Joey Logano is on a mission to win this time around
Last year, Logano missed out on winning at the Brickyard 400, when he finished 2nd. Now that he is on the pole, it hands him a golden opportunity to finish what he started and go the distance. It is worth noting that since Logano features in the top 12 in the championship, he stood a good chance of grabbing pole position.
Sadly, last year’s race winner, Kevin Harvick has it all to do in 11th, after getting the short end of the stick. Meanwhile, Ryan Blaney completes the Top 12, and also. has a tough hill to climb ahead of Sunday’s race.

Admittedly, Joey Logano has had an up and down track record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He finished as the runner-up on two occasions, last year and in 2015. In addition to that, he featured in the top 5 twice, and ended up in the top 10 thrice.
The lowest that he ever finished was in 33rd place during the 2012 edition of the Brickyard 400. Now that he has secured pole, Logano will surely do everything in his power to win and not miss out this time.
