Not all Santas don a red coat and a red hat and come in sleds. For many, it is individuals like Joey Logano who are Santas in real life. Apart from winning the hearts of the racing fandom, with his racing prowess, the driver ahead of the Yuletide celebrations embarked on the journey of giving back to society in the form of kindness and gratitude.

Being the owner of the Joey Logano Foundation, which strives to provide a’second  chance’ to young adults and children, the driver hosted his annual charitable Christmas Party for a fifth year for the foster families. Expressing his excitement for the event, Logano stated, “Hey, what’s up? We are at the Children Hope Alliance’s Baram Springs location here in Statesville, North Carolina, and tonight we are having another amazing Christmas event for the foster care families and foster kids. In this local area, there’s over 40 families tonight, and over 70 kids are coming along.”

He further added, “We are going to have face paintings, we are going to have cookie decorations, there’s presents and oh, yes Santa Claus is coming and all this is thanks to everybody who supports the Joey Logano Foundation all year long, and also Ford. Ford helped us out and partnered with this event tonight, so grab some presents and bring them in and meet some families.”

Although immersed in the Christmas festivities, Joey Logano makes sure that he remains an integral voice in NASCAR in the off-season. Speaking of which, the Team Penske driver, after facing backlash for his ‘spoiled fan’ commentary, finally broke his silence and defended his statement.

In his interview with Sirius XM, Joey Logano asserted, “I didn’t get paid a deal, I did that because I want to make it better for the next generation of not just racers but race fans. I did 20-plus fan appearances away from the track last year, so when I heard when some other undereducated people saying about what I am and what I do, and attacked me, it was really frustrating and maybe mad, and I thought I need to clear this up[…]”

“But I would say that we give great access to our fans, and it’s unfortunate, and it was pretty frustrating to hear where this went because I feel like I tried to do so much for the sport because I love it and I care about the people in it, and I was being the driver advisor council because it was better for everybody.”
