“W schemes,” wrote one fan after the official unveiling of the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas for 2024. Following its disappointing fallout in 2023, losing its only final four drivers early on due to a catastrophic mechanical fault, Joe Gibbs and Co. are heading into 2024 with the weight of a new sponsor.
Taking it to social media, the team revealed its new primary sponsor for selected races while taking the veils off its new electrifying paint scheme. All four of its cars—#11, #19, #20, and the #54 Toyota Camry XSE of Ty Gibbs—will all be powered by Unified Interstate Batteries.

Under the tutelage of “The Coach,” Joe Gibbs, JGR truly spread its wings to become one of the winningest teams in the sport. In fact, the four-car Toyota camp is the only team that gives the ever-dominant Hendrick Motorsports Chevys a run for their money. However, the scene wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for the team last season.
Entering the playoffs, Joe Gibbs had three of his top cars, the #11 of Denny Hamlin, the #19 of Martin Truex Jr, and the #20 of Christopher Bell, but as the tournament progressed and unfolded, things slowly started falling apart. First, the crew members’ inadequacies were exposed, and then the team got rattled by a spree of mechanical faults that took Hamlin and MTJ out of the fray.
C. Bell was the only driver going into the championship rounds, going up against two HMS Chevys and the championship-winning Ford of Ryan Blaney. Bell, who is the only driver to enter the final fray both times back to back, did not get the result he intended to and had to go out due to a brake rotor failure. As we gear up for next week’s Daytona run, Gibbs and his men have revealed their new partner, Unified Interstate Batteries, as their primary sponsor.

In an “X” post, all four cars have a new green lightsaber theme with jolts of lightning going across while the sponsor’s name is plastered across the hoods and sides of the cars. Team Joe Gibbs broke the news to the community with a post captioned, “Electric schemes unite! In fact, ardent fans are constantly on the lookout for special liveries and schemes to get a glimpse of their favorite driver crossing the finish line in exciting colors. Talking about colors, the new JGR shades are something to look at.
