Entering 2024 at the top of his manufacturer’s power ranking is Joe Gibbs Racing veteran, Denny Hamlin. The 42-year-old tops the Toyota Racing Power Rankings heading into the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, edging out fellow veteran and teammate, Martin Truex Jr, with 48 Cup races to become the manufacturer’s active wins leader. Despite the 2023 disappointment where he predicted it was going to be their year after his landslide victory at Bristol, embracing his dark side but failing to capture the throne, it looks like things are coming back around for the veteran as he makes a fresh start at the season-opener at Coliseum.

In fact, Hamlin is turning a new leaf with his new sponsor, Short Clip Haircuts. The Toyota camp teased the fans with an official social media post to confirm the news, unveiling the #11 JGR Toyota in its new exclusive livery in full glory.

Hamlin’s future with Joe Gibbs Racing had been a hot topic until “The Coach” Joe Gibbs came walking into the Action Detrimental podcast to renew the contract, stunning the driver. The driver was in the headlines given his contract with his primary sponsor FedEx was on its last legs with the deal expiring this year.

But given the driver’s rising popularity as NASCAR’s newfound villain, the logistics conglomerate had to extend its contract, thus powering Hamlin’s 2024 title chase. According to Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern, FedEx is expected to sponsor Hamlin in roughly the same number of NASCAR Cup Series races as the 2023 season.

While the company is significantly reducing its NASCAR involvement, featuring the # 11 car only 12 times in 2021, the presence of a larger-than-life sponsor is certain to fuel the driver’s title aspirations.

With that being said, Hamlin and JGR have welcomed their new partner, Short Clips Haircuts, along for the ride. Revealing the new look of the updated Toyota Camry XSE in a fresh look, the team, posted, “Let’s cut to the chase. Fresh new ‘do for @sportclipshaircuts in 2024.” While further details are still unknown at this point, the new alliance has the fans thrilled with comments like, “You’re graphic design department definitely stepped up their paint scheme game. Awesome. Everyone has been a banger,” filling up the comment section.
