If one is left contemplating and is unable to decipher the whole state of affairs, here is a more simplified version: Joe Gibbs Racing handed out their phone number on social media and asked the fandom to reach out through messages. While many considered it a prank, a successful fan received a voice message from Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte. Notably, this came after the former Cup Series driver announced that he would be returning to JGR as a brand ambassador for the team.
Contemplating whether it was a bot replying, the fan initially sent across a cat image. To which the reply came a hilarious GIF. Joe Gibbs Racing further replied, “Bobby Labonte is going to do a text takeover tomorrow! What questions do you have for him?” To this, the fan questioned, “What’s his favorite moment he’s gotten to share with Terry [Labonte] in racing?” Lo-and-behold, the former Cup Series champion did send a reply to the fan in the form of a voice message. Although the details of the voice message were not shared by the team, it assuredly amused the user as the fan retorted, “It’s always a nice feeling when you get one right over your older brother[…]”
Moreover, on being proved wrong that it was the driver speaking and not an automated system, the fan also delivered an apology and cleared the air for sending a cat image initially. The elated fan also added, “Love you JGR. Y’all made me mad when you dropped Erik, but I’ve forgiven you.”

This was surely an out-of-the-blue response from Joe Gibbs Racing, but the real crux lay in the fact that the team did not use iMessage to send responses. Picking up the clues, the fans left hilarious comments under the post. One of them read, “Joe Gibbs goated for not using an iPhone”, while another quipped, “You’re not iMessage.”

Another fan, while emphasizing on the importance of obtaining JGR’s phone number, commented, “I’m putting the number in my emergency contacts.” On the other hand, one fan expressed their wish to share some paint schemes ideas with JGR and wrote, “So… will y’all answer? Because I got some ideas for paint schemes.”
One social media user simply informed the team a text has been sent from their side, perhaps in a bid to ensure that he surely gets a reply. “Text, sent!”, they wrote.
