Marcus Ericsson who earlier avoided Helio’s crash once again succeeded in avoiding Colton’s sliding Honda. The combination of cold and windy temperatures combined with penetrant risked the situation. Penetrant is used to dry up the track and this here acted as the reason for the track being hard to drive at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Both Colton Herta and Will Power shared their feedback on Twitter. The duo shared the videos of their drives and had mentioned each other for “beer”.

Will wrote on Twitter, “A driver’s worst nightmare is spinning up off the apron into 220mph traffic.. Didn’t see this one coming.. glad no one was hurt.” while his counterpart Colton put down, “Close calls today…. @12WillPower owes me a beer.”

Jimmy Johnson further escalated the hype with ‘not just one beer, but three.’ All in all, Will stated after the drive that he was so scared that it got the daylights out of him. He also expressed that he’s glad as no one was hurt.
