A few days ago, when ESPN dropped news of his retirement, Tom Brady downplayed things. Now, it appears that there was an element of truth to the report and the star quarterback just wanted to announce it on his own terms. Once the news became official, tributes to the legendary quarterback flooded in immediately. Among the well-wishers was fellow 7-time champion Jimmie Johnson.
The NASCAR legend officially congratulated Brady and acknowledged him as a part of the seven champions’ club. This club includes Richard Petty, the late Dale Earnhardt, Michael Schumacher, Valentino Rossi, Lewis Hamilton, and more. The former NASCAR driver declared that Brady is a massive inspiration for many people.

Daniel Hemric penned a very touching and heartfelt tribute to the NFL living legend. He wrote, “My life of watching football has always involved watching Tom Brady perform. Thank you for the entertainment, for showing us you can always better yourself if you continue to show up & put the work in, & for always carrying yourself with class & integrity through it all.”

Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch hailed Brady as the greatest player of all-time. He also wanted to thank the former Patriots and Buccaneers player for inspiring generations of fans.

One thing is for sure, the player enjoyed a fantastic career, and Dale Jr. cannot wait to see where life takes him.

In all honesty, this generation is lucky to have seen so many legends in their prime. People like Tom Brady, Jimmie Johnson, Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Valentino Rossi, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Lionel Messi, Usain Bolt, Tiger Woods, the list goes on. It just goes to show how much sport has elevated these players and athletes.
