In the pre-race interview of the upcoming ‘Raptor King of Tough 250’, Jesse answered the questions with an optimistic approach. The interviewer asked Jesse about his run and what he was looking forward to this weekend. The #2 Chevy Camaro driver replied, “So my goal is to hopefully get locked in the playoffs in the first, you know five or ten races. And obviously, we have another good shot tomorrow night,” said Jesse Love.
Jesse also discussed how a bit of knowledge about Xfinity cars helped him gain substantial experience. He is looking forward to utilizing that today. “So I think I learned a little bit of a lesson at Daytona of how fast our car is. I can probably take my time a little more than other guys and still get to the front pretty quickly. I’m gonna implement that tomorrow night, hopefully, win the first stage, and get some more playoff points in general,” he added.
Keeping his own performance aside, Jesse tries to bring his team to the spotlight. He speaks about crew chief Danny Stockman’s immense contributions in shaping them and their cars ready before the race. Jesse believes that a driver can do little in superspeedways as it is the backend team that does the majority of work.
“But after that just kind of take my time and methodically get to the front, I feel like last week I was just a rabid dog trying to get back to the front. Our cars are really good leading and that’s probably why, and they handle well too. So yeah, it’s awesome and we have another good shot at tomorrow night,” he said after expressing his pleasure with the car.

In last weekend’s United Rentals 300, Jesse Love got involved in a massive multi-car wreck. After getting bumped by John Hunter Nemechek, Love’s car got spun and hit SVG, who was racing forward in P5 at that point. He himself ended up in the 20th spot, thanks to the wreck. However, his team performed exceptionally well with his teammate Austin Hill clinching victory.
