This weekend is the NASCAR Cup race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. In the buildup to the race, ex-Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Steve Letarte spoke about who he thinks would win the race. He said, “Surprisingly I’m going to go against the 5-time winner of the year. I’m going to go with Kyle Larson. I think why not, everything else this year has been evenly broken up. So I’m going to pick Kyle Larson.”

Admittedly, this season has been incredibly unpredictable, with so many different race winners. In fact, there was no Playoff driver winning and securing their berth until Chase Elliott last weekend at Talladega. In all honesty, that was a bit of a strange race because all of the drivers were largely timid and not risking big moves.

Now the big question is, can Elliott notch up his sixth win of the season? Or will Kyle Larson grab his third win and spoil the party? To further throw everything for a loop, will another Playoff driver triumph, or will a Non-Playoff driver keep up the streak? Well, just about anything can happen in NASCAR, and the fans will certainly love it.

One thing is for sure, this is a crucial race for the Playoff drivers because the bottom four drivers will be eliminated. The drivers in danger are, Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, and Christopher Bell. Of course, Bowman is not there because he is still recovering from his concussion-inducing crash.
