Normally, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon will seem like the last people to get involved in an altercation. Bowyer is considered as a very amiable guy, and Gordon has a reputation for not losing his temper often. However, all that went out of the window in 2012 when the two drivers collided and took each other out.

At the time, Bowyer was fighting for the championship, but a tangle with Gordon ended his hopes. Obviously incensed, he clambered out of his car and took one look at the replays before sprinting away. Apparently, his #15 crew were already engaged in a massive brawl with Gordon’s #24 crew, so he decided to join them.

This was not the first time that the two of them tangled with each other. Apparently, Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon collided earlier at Martinsville, which also involved an innocent Jimmie Johnson. When they clashed at Phoenix, Gordon ended up in the wall, so he decided to exact his revenge. When he took out Bowyer, poor old Joey Logano was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon can laugh about it now

Several years down the line, the two drivers can look back and laugh. Recently, Bowyer and Gordon pointed out that the only memorable thing about the brawl was the #15 driver sprinting. Since then, the two drivers have made up and all has been forgiven between them.

Of course, that does not mean that they will stop messing with each other. Now that they have retired from racing, the two drivers have taken up commentary duties with Fox Sports. Even over there, they are continuing to banter with each other like they are old friends. In fact, in a small promotional video ahead of the Daytona road course race, the two of them did a Days of Thunder re-enactment.
