It has been a season of missing out on championship wins for Toyota, but one 17-year-old driver has given them something to smile about. Jade Avedisian became the champion of the inaugural season of the Fab Four Championship in 2023. It was an incredible achievement for a driver who could be the next big thing for Toyota.
The Fab Four competition is a female-only racing competition. In this cross-series battle, female drivers participating throughout USAC will have the chance to test their race craft. In addition to a $10,000 cash award, the victorious driver will be invited to an advanced series test session with the Porsche Cup team, MDK Motorsports.

This is not Jade Avedisian’s only victory in 2023. Earlier this year, she won the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series championship, outpacing Zach Daum. The 17-year-old became the first female racer to win a national midget championship. In the post-race interview, Avedisian said that it meant everything to her.
“It means the world to me. Not only to me but my team,” she said, as per NBC, after her victory. “I’m just so happy to do it for [Keith Kunz Motorsports], Mobil 1, Toyota Racing. So many people believe in me, and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them. I’m truly grateful, and I’m excited to write my name in the history books,” the 17-year-old added.
Her talents were recognized on an even bigger stage at Ventura Raceway as she became the Fab Four’s first-ever champion and took home a cheque for $10,000. For Toyota, this is a massive step in shaping the future as Jade Avedisian has recently signed a multi-year deal with the manufacturer.

Avedisian will be a part of Toyota’s development program. She has already been making leaps and bounds in her fledgling career. Apart from winning the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series and the Fab Four, the 17-year-old was also named Rookie of the Year in the Chilli Bowls Nationals.
Now, she is looking forward to her time as a development driver with Toyota with a lot of excitement and ambition.

Avedisian said that her goals won’t change even with Toyota. The aim was to win as many races as possible and reach the highest level in motorsports. However, she is excited about getting started with one of the biggest manufacturers in the world of racing today.
“I’m excited to spend the next few years with them [Toyota]. We still keep the same goals though. We still need to go win races and lead as many laps as we can. But to know that I’m in a contract, it’s obviously a big dream come true as well,” she said.
“If I run good, it can fast forward a lot of years. I know what my plan is and I know what my potential is,” the 17-year-old sensation added.
