The company is responsible for developing and releasing NASCAR games such as the Heat series, Rivals, and Ignition. At this moment, the company is going through a very dark period both in terms of finances and popularity.

And while one would expect that those going through a tough time get sympathy from their well-wishers, followers, and fans, that is definitely not the case with Motorsport Games.

NASCAR was recently hit with a million-dollar lawsuit

After NASCAR rejected the LGB Coin sponsorship last season for Brandon Brown, the combined value of the crypto coin fell from an estimated $570 million to zero within weeks.

This enraged the LetGoBrandon.com Foundation, as they demanded, NASCAR “must pay monetary damages of no less than $391 million.”

“NASCAR’s false and defamatory statements have been, and continue to be, widely disseminated causing [Let’s Go Brandon coin] not only past and current harm, but perpetual harm of at least a billion dollars beyond the $391 million in damages caused by the revocation of the sponsorship,” the lawsuit claims.

Fans spare no sympathies for Motorsport Games

Reporter and journalist, Mike Straw recently reported that Motorsport Games suffered net losses of nearly $36 million in 2022. That’s a lot of money for any company to lose in the course of a year. But when you add the fact that they’re also on the verge of facing a lawsuit by their own developers, things get worse.

According to Insider Gaming, the company’s developers are threatening a lawsuit over unpaid wages. It’s reported that as many as 30 employees haven’t been paid their wages since October.

When you consider all of these factors, it comes as no surprise that many NASCAR fans were not only unbothered by the state of Motorsport Games, but some of them thought they deserved what was happening to them.
